  • I'm a sucker for The Sing Off. Yet I can't watch Glee. #

Twitter Updates for 2010-12-08

  • How'd the game end last night? I stopped watching when the Pats opened up that 92-3 lead. #

Twitter Updates for 2010-12-06

  • Tyrod, you magnificent bastard. Hokies start the second half right. #
  • It would be awesome if Philip Rivers wouldn't completely tank my fantasy season. #
  • Just finished Terriers. Yup, best drama on TV this year. So, inevitably, it will be cancelled. Go watch the whole season. It's awesome. #
  • If I was coaching the Rams, this is where I would give it to SJax and let him just run everybody over and run down the clock. That's just me #
  • Remember when people thought P. Manning was this year's MVP? Now he's the MVP ... of his *opponents*! Oooh, burn. #

  • The following tweets will be mostly nonsense and unrelated. #
  • I had a coconut cream pie shake from http://sammyscafe.blogspot.com/. It was good, but now I might die. And, yeah, a slice of pie in a shake #
  • Cleveland fans pretty much suck. If that had happened in Boston, Bron Bron would have had his head under a towel crying on the bench. #
  • Finally, the mountain time zone is just silly. Just merge with the Pacific time zone already. #

Twitter Updates for 2010-12-03

  • Getting ready for the big moment in Cleveland. I want window rattling boos. #
  • Weak sauce so far, Cleveland. Weak sauce. #

Twitter Updates for 2010-12-02

  • In Phoenix waiting for a flight to Salt Lake City. The Mountain time zone: we screw tv up just enough to make it confusing. #

Twitter Updates for 2010-12-01

  • Really digging the new Belle and Sebastian. #
  • It's beer o'clock. I'm still at work. So it's work beer o'clock. #

Virginia Tech Hokies: 2010 ACC Coastal Champs

This season did not start out great for my Hokies. Starting the season 0-2 (and basically, being two plays away from being 2-0), they battled back despite injuries and a ridiculously young defense to roll off:

  • ten wins in a row
  • finish the first undefeated ACC regular season since conference expansion
  • won the Commonwealth Cup *again*
  • continued the longest consecutive 10 win seasons streak (later Texas)

The work isn't done yet -- a victory over Florida State for the ACC Championship would be huge, putting us in the top 10 and into the Orange Bowl.

(A victory in the Orange Bowl, over a team like Stanford or Ohio State would do wonders as well.)

Those final two games will also be the final games of Tyrod Taylor's career at VT. He's been much, much better than anyone expected (and, from all accounts, is an incredibly nice guy). Probably one of my favorite VT athletes.
