Virginia Tech Hokies: 2010 ACC Coastal Champs

This season did not start out great for my Hokies. Starting the season 0-2 (and basically, being two plays away from being 2-0), they battled back despite injuries and a ridiculously young defense to roll off:

  • ten wins in a row
  • finish the first undefeated ACC regular season since conference expansion
  • won the Commonwealth Cup *again*
  • continued the longest consecutive 10 win seasons streak (later Texas)

The work isn't done yet -- a victory over Florida State for the ACC Championship would be huge, putting us in the top 10 and into the Orange Bowl.

(A victory in the Orange Bowl, over a team like Stanford or Ohio State would do wonders as well.)

Those final two games will also be the final games of Tyrod Taylor's career at VT. He's been much, much better than anyone expected (and, from all accounts, is an incredibly nice guy). Probably one of my favorite VT athletes.

  • Hokies beating up the Hoos, but not really playing that well. I think we could have won by 60 if the Hokies brought their A game. #
  • While the Hokies are getting it done, I figure I'll watch the last 2 minutes of the UFL Crap Bowl #
  • And the UFL Crap Bowl ends with an obvious, uncalled pass interference and then a blocked field goal. Also, UVa is the 3rd best team in VA #
  • Wow. Apparently the U in "The U" stands for "unspeakably bad" #
  • So, who's the next coach in Miami? #
  • Just had a big dinner at Posto, now waiting for Harry Potter to start with @ktwalks #

  • I lost fantasy football by less than half a point. I will still repeat as champion. Mark my words. #
  • The Beatles as Apple's big announcement is about as anti-climatic as me getting everyone excited and announcing that I had a bowel movement. #
  • It's 10am, I think Apple's site just went down as people furiously reload it hoping to get iOS 4.2, rather than this Beatles BS. #
