I’ve given talks to different audiences, but usually just different parts of a company I was with (maybe the engineering team, or the whole org), or a company we were working with. Usually business-related, and it’s a friendly audience.
A few months back, I got asked to give a talk to members of the ECE and CS groups at Virginia Tech. Giving talks to people who aren’t being paid to listen to me is not something I normally do, nor is it something I’m particularly used to. It seemed like an awesome opportunity.
About a week and a half ago, I gave that talk. I think it went ok, but I haven’t had the gumption to rewatch it yet. Felt good in the moment, at least.
